We are known as a very friendly club, our aim being the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by providing the facilities for playing lawn and indoor bowls.
Currently we have approximately 60 members, men and ladies, and we are based at the King George V playing fields, in Blackshots Lane, Grays.
For our bowlers during the summer, (April until September), we offer and extensive fixture list fielding both Men's and Ladies teams into the Thurrock & District leagues, Basildon Association League as well as District, County and National Competitions.
Many of our bowlers also enjoy the weekend friendlies against local clubs in Essex and Kent.
Our internal club competitions and a weekly roll up are always popular.
New bowlers are always welcome and we offer a free weekly coaching opportunity so that after 4 weeks you can see if bowling is for you.
During the winter months our short mat bowls on a Moday has proved very popular
Full Membership is open to all individuals including juniors. Our Associate Members enjoy all the privileges of our social activities that include our Drums Social Club including the bar along with the winter socials. Social facilities of the Club are also available to Members' Partners.
